Deformation Analysis

The measurement, detection, and analysis of spatial changes that have occurred or may occur in structures and facilities are referred to as deformation analysis. If we talk about the techniques we frequently use,

1- Terrestrial Measurements

Point movements are determined with high precision using geodetic instruments such as total stations, GNSS, and levels. Surface changes can be modeled in detail using laser scanning technology.

2- Sensor Deployment and Data Analysis

Continuous data is collected using systems such as fiber optic sensors, accelerometers, crack meters, strain gauges, water level sensors, and tilt sensors. The data obtained from these sensors is analyzed to monitor structural movements and deformation processes.

3- D-InSAR Satellite Data Analysis

By comparing SAR satellite images taken at different times from the same area, millimeter-level surface movements can be detected. This enables large-scale and precise analysis of building movements, landslides, earthquakes, mining subsidence, and infrastructure deformations.
